Mangaluru, Oct 4: The Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy organised the seventh edition of its monthly poetry gathering, ‘Kavyam Vhalo-7’, at the Academy Hall on October 4.

The event was presided over by Academy president Joaquim Stany Alvares, who in his address said the Academy conducts these poetry meets every month to encourage budding poets and provide them a platform to present their creative works.

The evening also saw the felicitation of veteran musician Muralidhar Kamath, who expressed pride in contributing to Konkani music. “Many people have an interest in music, and I feel proud to sing in Konkani, keeping our tradition alive,” he said.
