Perth Wildcats star Ben Henshall is set to come off the bench for a second successive game, with coach John Rillie preparing to stick with youngster Dontae Russe-Nance in the starting five.
Henshall moved to the bench for Saturday’s match against New Zealand Breakers and scored eight points from his 18 minutes on court.
Russo-Nance had never played for more than six minutes in a NBL game before this season but was given the chance to start amid a combination of Henshall being unwell last week and coach John Rillie wanting to look at different options.
Rillie said Russo-Nance had done well during the off-season to develop his game in New Zealand and would get another chance to shine against Illawarra on Thursday night at RAC Arena.
He said Henshall had shown he could adapt to the change
