A yellow weather warning for wind is still in force this afternoon. A separate alert for heavy rain ended at midday.
It follows a day of weather-related chaos that saw schools and transport shut down, and thousands left without power.
Earlier this afternoon, 18,000 properties were without electricity with that number now halved, according to Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE).
The electricity provider is hopeful most will be reconnected by tomorrow morning.
Around 65,000 homes were cut off at the height of the weather event.
Alex Houston, NIE Networks Operations Manager, said; “Our assessment is that the vast majority of properties will be reconnected by tomorrow morning but it’s important to advise that it could be Monday evening at the latest for those circuits impacting very small
