PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Firefighters in Clark County say they encountered a "sticky situation" Thursday when a truck full of bees rolled over onto a road near Mt. Vista.

Officials said crews with Clark County Fire District 6 responded to the intersection of Northeast 179th Street and 50th Avenue that evening.

Arriving at the scene, they found a man had rolled his truck that was carrying multiple packages of bees.

Since the bees were "not happy," according to fire officials, it made it more of a challenge to extricate the driver.

However, authorities said the driver refused treatment and a local beekeeper was called in to round up the hive.
