LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — Two teenagers from Wichita, Kansas, were injured in a water scooter collision on the Lake of the Ozarks in Morgan County, Missouri, with one suffering serious injuries.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) water incident report, the crash occurred at around 5:44 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at the 58.6 mile marker of the main channel.

A 15-year-old girl was operating a Seadoo Spark water scooter when she side-swiped another Seadoo Spark water scooter operated by a 13-year-old girl.

Both girls were ejected. The older girl suffered moderate injuries and was transported by a private vehicle to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, while the younger girl suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to the same hospital.
