The Nelson County Community Development Foundation is hosting a free homebuyer training series made up of five different classes led by experts in the field to help first-time buyers navigate the complex path to homeownership.

The classes, which kicked off Sept. 17 and run through early November, help aspiring homeowners to learn the ins and out of the homebuying process. The series is being held in partnership with the Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project, Inc., a local nonprofit that promotes affordable water/wastewater infrastructure, housing and community development and Piedmont Housing Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to improving financial outcomes for individuals and families by offering innovative housing solutions.
