It's been a tough week for the Brocks of the NFL.
San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy missed the 49ers' win over Los Angeles on "Thursday Night Football" with a toe injury. The other well-known Brock is also be out of action in Week 5.
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers will miss his first game of the season with a knee injury, per multiple reports. This is apparently the same knee he injured in the Raiders' Week 1 win over the New England Patriots and has bothered him ever since.
Bowers had five catches for a season-high 103 yards in Week 1. He's yet to clear 50 yards receiving in the subsequent three games.
The Raiders officially ruled him out Wednesday morning, 90 minutes ahead of kickoff at Lucas Oil Stadium.
That leaves the Raiders thin at tight end. Michael Mayer is also out with a concussion, forcing the team to elevate Albert Okwuegbunam Jr. from the practice squad.
The Raiders face the Indianapolis Colts on the road this week before returning home to take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 6.
