Eric Dane is sharing why he was noticeably absent from the 2025 Emmys.
The "Grey's Anatomy" star was expected to present an award alongside his co-star Jesse Williams at the Sept. 14 ceremony but ultimately didn't appear on stage.
In an interview with The Washington Post that was published on Oct. 2, Dane revealed that he missed the awards show due to being hospitalized after experiencing a fall.
Dane, who announced his ALS diagnosis in April, said that shortly before the broadcast, he lost his balance and fell in the kitchen, causing him to get stitches.
“ALS is a nasty disease. … So I was in the hospital during the Emmys getting stitches put in my head,” he said.
