INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating a shooting that happened Saturday afternoon on the near south side of Indianapolis.

According to a release from IMPD, around 5:20 p.m. on Oct. 4, officers were called to the 1200 block of East Kelly Street , which is near East Raymont Street and Shelby Street on Indy's south side, on a report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they say they found one persons suffering from a gunshot wound. They were reported to be in critical condition.

No further information was released by police.
