Sumter police are investigating a Saturday morning shooting that injured two people.

Officers responded to a shots-fired call at about 10:45 a.m. Saturday in the Crosswell Drive/Yeadon Street area. An adult and two juveniles were walking in the area when shots were fired from a passing vehicle.

The adult and one of the juveniles suffered gunshot wounds.

The injured juvenile was taken to Prisma Health Tuomey for treatment and the

adult was treated at the scene. The other juvenile was not injured.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the Sumter Police Department at 803-436-2700 or contact Crimestoppers . Crimestoppers tips that lead to arrests may be eligible for a cash reward.
