FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is investigating after human remains were found at a Fayetteville address on Saturday.

Deputies responded just after 1:45 p.m. to a 911 call for a death investigation in the 500 Block of Plymouth Street.

Once there, they found human remains in a wooded area.

The identity of the person is unknown. The case remains under investigation.
