The first victim of a man accused of killing a motel manager Friday before he was wounded by police was shot in the leg as she sat inside a vehicle with her young child, police said in a criminal complaint.

The series of shootings began about 1 p.m. in Robinson, where police were dispatched to a tire shop at 4470 Steubenville Pike for a report of a woman bleeding inside a vehicle. Minutes later, officers were called to the Pittsburgh Motel at 4270 Steubenville Pike on a report that a man had been shot outside the business.

At the motel, officers found Rakesh Ehagaban, 50, of Robinson, with a gunshot wound to the head. Identified by police as the motel manager, he was pronounced dead at the scene by a Robinson medic. Robinson police then requested assistance from Allegheny County police h
