NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Update (5:13p): The Metro Nashville Police Department said they are continuing to search for the missing skydiving instructor.
The instructor and another skydiver were separated at the plane from a tandem rig.
The skydiver was found lodged in a tree with an open parachute in the woods in the 4500 block of Ashland City Highway. He has been safely removed from the tree and is expected to be ok.
MNPD said the instructor is presumed to have fallen out of the sky without a parachute. He has still not been located at this time.
Three other skydivers who jumped before the incident laned safely. The plane also landed safely at John C. Tune Airport.
