Saint Francis continued its winning ways Saturday, rallying past Taylor 49-35 at Turner Stadium in Upland to improve to 4-1.
The Cougars spotted the Trojans (3-2) the game’s first 14 points before Josh Kulka threw the first two of his five touchdown passes to forge a 14-all tie at halftime. Both touchdowns were set up by interceptions.
“Our defense is really, really good,” USF head coach Adam Sherman said. “I say it every week. They are unbelievably resilient. We got guys that can make plays all the time to turn the ball over. That was the key of the game was our defense.”
