NORMAN — Michael Hawkins Jr. was up-and-down on Saturday.

OU ’s sophomore quarterback, who made his first start of the season with starter John Mateer out , looked rushed at times and missed on a few passes. Nonetheless, he made some impressive plays, completing 14 of his 24 passes for 162 yards and three touchdowns.
