Toronto jumped out to an early 2-0 lead over the New York Yankees thanks to home runs from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Alejandro Kirk. They ended the contest with a commanding 10-1 win over the New York Yankees.

There was a bit of drama for the Jays in the sixth inning, as New York loaded the bases with Aaron Judge at the plate. However, Kevin Gausman struck him out, and the Jays escaped the inning, only allowing one run.

The Jays’ batters took over in the seventh and eighth innings, pounding in eight more runs en route to the victory.

This victory was a long time coming for this Jays’ core, and specifically, Guerrero Jr.
