CONVENT, La. (WAFB) - Deputies with the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help to identify a man whose body was found in a canal Saturday morning, Oct. 4.

Deputies responded around 11:30 a.m. to the area near Highway 3125 in Convent after receiving a report of a body in the water. When they arrived, they located a deceased male in the canal and recovered the body by boat.

According to deputies, the man was wearing no shirt and blue jeans.

The investigation is ongoing, and no additional details have been released.
