PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - The Colorado Lottery is working to support conservation events and projects this month.
That’s according to Lottery officials. They said they will be working on projects that protect outdoor spaces all month long. Governor Jared Polis recently proclaimed October of 2025 to be Colorado Lottery Conservation Month.
On Saturday, Lottery staff said they participated in the seventh annual “Runyon to the Res” Arkansas River Trail Cleanup in Pueblo. The cleanup crew was made up of Lottery staff, local residents and organizations such as Colorado Parks and Wildlife, City of Pueblo Parks and Recreation and the Nature and Wildlife Discovery Center.
During the event, volunteers cleaned up an eight-mile stretch of the trail along the Arkansas River, according to the Lottery.
