PARK CITY, Utah (ABC4) — A woman is recovering after the car they were in ended up in Deer Valley pond Friday evening.

Park City Police say they responded to the pond near Parking Lot #5 around 7:40 p.m. Friday evening on a report that a vehicle went into the water and was reportedly sinking. Police arrived on scene, along with the Park City Fire Department, who pulled an unresponsive female out of the car.

Once out, crews began performing CPR on the woman until she began breathing on her own. The victim was taken by helicopter to a Salt Lake Valley hospital in stable condition.

The Wasatch County Search and Rescue Dive Team were called to pull the vehicle out of the water.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
