GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — One person has died after a shooting Saturday night on Grand Rapids’ southeast side.

The Grand Rapids Police Department confirmed they have launched a homicide investigation after an alleged shooting near Madison Avenue and Umatilla Street.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at 8:29 p.m. Police confirmed on person has died. They did not provide any information about a potential suspect.
