ALLENDALE CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person has died and another was hospitalized after a rollover crash Saturday night in Allendale Charter Township.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened just before 9 p.m. A 43-year-old man from Grand Rapids was heading northeast on South Cedar Drive in an all-terrain vehicle when he failed to handle the turn onto 90th Avenue.

The ATV left the roadway and rolled. The driver was ejected from the vehicle. First responders rendered aid, but he was ultimately pronounced dead on scene.

A passenger, a 22-year-old from Muskegon Heights, was injured in the crash. He was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
