The Ithaca grad caught three touchdowns and threw another, and Carter St. John threw for five TDs, as the Alma College Scots celebrated homecoming with repeated trips to the end zone at Bahlke Field, racking up 699 yards of offense and handing previously unbeaten Calvin University a 55-6 loss on Saturday.

Poff caught five passes for 164 yards — half of St. John’s total of 320 passing yards — including scoring passes of 34 and 21 yards in the second quarter and 56 yards in the third, as Alma (3-2) went to 2-0 in the MIAA.

Calvin, which had been receiving votes in the Division III poll, fell to 4-1, 1-1.
