ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - South Carolina State University Department of Public Safety has confirmed that their campus is on lockdown following an apparent shooting Saturday night.

The reported gunshots came from Hugine Suites located on campus.

Officials are urging residents to return to residence halls and for all off-campus residents to exit the campus.
