ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WSPA) - The South Carolina State University is currently under lockdown following reports of shots fired at a nearby suite.

The university released an alert saying that shotes were fired at Hugine Suites located on campus, and that campus police are currently investigating.

Authorities asks students to stay in their rooms and for off-campus residents to exit the university.
