DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Triangle organization dedicated to helping Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across North Carolina held its annual Scholarship Luncheon on Saturday.
The Triangle Steering Committee holds the event yearly to raise money for HBCUs and their students across the state.
This year's proceeds went to Livingstone College in Salisbury.
The organization's former chairwoman, Ruth Reed-Coleman, was also honored for her work to support HBCU students.
The luncheon was held at Croasdaile Country Club.
