HOUSTON -- It took a while for Texas Tech to get started but their end result was inevitably the same, as they defeated Houston 35-11 for their fifth straight win. The Red Raiders held the Cougars scoreless in the second half, while adding ten points of their own to cement the victory.
FIRST QUARTER
Texas Tech started the game with the ball after an opening kickoff from Houston. Quarterback Behren Morton saw his first action since exiting the game against Utah, and he wasted no time getting back into a rhythm. The Red Raiders rolled into the red zone and looked to cash in early. However, the Cougar defense held strong and forced a 26-yard Stone Harrington field goal.
The Red Raiders defense made their first impact on the ensuing drive, as Houston quarterback Conner Weigman would inadver
