COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Midlands have seen a pleasant start to the weekend with comfortable temperatures and dry weather despite some lingering cloud cover.

Saturday night will be party cloudy and dry with low temperatures across the Midlands falling into the low 60s. Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a passing shower or two possible, but most will stay dry. Breezy conditions will return through the day with winds gusting between 20-25 mph.

A gradual warming trend is on the way through the work week. Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid to upper 80s by midweek. It will be warm for the first day of the South Carolina State Fair on Wednesday.
