CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. — The long-awaited barn-raising fundraiser, hosted by Spring Hills Farm in Dalton, near Clarks Summit in Lackawanna County , took place on Saturday.

Community members showed up to support, enjoying a range of refreshments, live music, a local art exhibition, and a silent auction.

Sachu Constantine, grandson of the founder of the farm Robert and Louise Hull, said, "Sometimes we forget everything starts on farms the food we eat, the clean water that we drink it has to go through farms like this and people forget that and they're detached from it in the cities ... they can come here, they can sit by the pond they can see the sheep, see the horses, see the chickens, walk around these fields... just get a sense of that nature... that farm life and how important it is."
