SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – In school it took me a while to distinguish latitude and longitude. I can remember the day it was introduced, and my head intuitively (and erroneously) wanted the definitions to be reversed. I remember my mind wrestling with the concept even then. I still struggle with the concept but not so much. Having a globe for a while helped. Learning about coordinates helped even more.
We all have areas of confusion in school and out, as you may agree.
Is a new relationship ruled by love or infatuation? Is gaming a fad or a passion? Is my crimson coat in the closet (from fifth grade) a relic to preserve – or destined for the recycle bin?
The answer to any of these puzzles, and more, may be “it depends.”
To a point, we may even hold the words “both/and” in our minds.
