Major investigation launched after father-of-two found dead in workshop at Lonsdale in South Australia

A major crime investigation is underway after a man’s body was found in a workshop.

Chris Robertson, 49, from Moana in Adelaide , was discovered on Tuesday at Lonsdale.

A post-mortem since has confirmed he was assaulted, with injuries sustained in the attack leading to his death.

South Australian Police have now launched a major crime investigation.

The incident is not believed to be random, Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke from the Major Crime Investigation Branch said.

“The death of Chris Robertson has shattered many families,” Fielke said.

“He had two children and five siblings. Each of those families is now coming to terms with their loss and dealing with his tragic death.”
