SEATTLE — The Seattle Mariners announced a sellout crowd of 47,290 in Game 1 of the American League Division Series against the Detroit Tigers.
The Tigers broke a 2-2 tie in the top of 11th inning and held on for a 3-2 win.
It was the first playoff game at T-Mobile Park since 2022, and the Mariners' first as division champions in 24 years.
"I haven't been this excited since 3rd grade, and we won 116 games," said Ryan Foster, referring to the record-setting 2001 season. "It's like nothing I've ever felt. So fun. So fun. Everyone around here is having a blast."
