A walker, dressed in shorts, was pulled to safety from one of Wales's most treacherous mountains during Storm Amy.
The hiker informed his rescuers: "The weather didn't look that bad."
The unidentified rambler was attempting to climb Tryfan in Eryri, a summit infamous for its hazards, when he requested assistance.
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation described the incident on Tryfan during Storm Amy as preventable and encouraged hikers to examine weather predictions before departing.
Gales were screaming at more than 80mph throughout the tempest.
