A shooting in Sydney's inner west has left at least three people injured. The incident occurred in Croydon Park, prompting a significant police response and a lockdown of the area. Residents have been advised to remain indoors as authorities manage the situation.

New South Wales Police confirmed that a police operation is underway following reports of gunfire. A man in his 50s was transported to Canterbury Hospital with a gunshot wound, according to NSW Ambulance. Additionally, a man and a woman, both in their 30s, are being evaluated for minor injuries at Campsie Police Station.

In response to the shooting, police have closed off several streets. Georges River Road is shut down between Croydon Avenue and Seymour Street, while Brighton Avenue is closed between Georges River Road and Queensborough Road.

Authorities are urging the public to stay inside and advising motorists to avoid the area. "Specialist resources are attending, and the public is urged to stay inside, and motorists are advised to avoid the area," police stated.
