Sonam Wangchuk has demanded an independent judicial inquiry into the deaths of 4 people during the Leh violence. He has written a letter from Jodhpur Central Jail, which was released on Sunday. Wangchuk wrote,
My deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. I pray for the injured and the arrested. The deaths of 4 people should be investigated by an independent judicial commission; until that happens, I will remain in jail.
This letter has been shared by Advocate Mustafa Haji, who is the legal advisor to the Leh Apex Body (LAB). He and Wangchuk's brother, Tsetan Dorje Leh, met Wangchuk in jail on October 4.
