0BROOKLYN, NY – A Saturday night assault in East New York turned deadly after a 34-year-old man was fatally stabbed near Glenmore Avenue and Sheffield Avenue, police said. Officers arrived around 8:48 p.m. following a 911 call reporting an attack in progress. When they reached the scene, they found Luis Gonzalez , of Christopher Avenue, suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen.
Emergency medical crews rushed Gonzalez to One Brooklyn Health–Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center , where he was listed in critical condition before being pronounced dead by hospital staff.
No arrests have been made, and detectives from the 75th Precinct continue to investigate the motive and circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing.
