1MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. — This week, residents of Monroe Township could be impacted by low flying helicopters with men dangling from them.
Residents can expect to see helicopters circling overhead throughout the coming week as PSE&G conducts scheduled aerial inspections and maintenance of high-tension power lines across the township, officials announced Sunday.
According to the Monroe Township Police Department , the utility company’s crews will be performing visual patrols of transmission circuits “breaker-to-breaker,” checking conductors, structures, and related equipment for any signs of wear or reliability issues. Helicopters may hover or circle specific areas when inspectors identify potential concerns that require a closer look.
