A worker clearing roads after destruction and debris left by Storm Amy was reportedly attacked while using a chainsaw. ‌

The shocking incident dubbed by police as "outrageous and so dangerous" took place at around 12 noon on October 4 on the A82 in the Glen Goy area, approximately a mile and a half north of Spean Bridge. ‌

While using the chainsaw to clear trees from the road he was reportedly approached by a motorist with a French or Italian accent wearing a blue beret who assaulted him and pushed him in to a ditch. ‌

The suspect was driving a grey Renault van, possibly a Trafic model, which was a left-hand drive with a foreign number plate bearing the numbers 7532.

He is described as white, mid 40 to 50 years old, 5ft9 tall, of medium build and had
