ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WIS) - SLED says they are investigating two separate shootings that took place on the South Carolina State University campus last night.

Authorities there confirmed that a woman was killed in one incident. The agency says the identity will be released by Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle.

A man was also injured in a separate incident. He was taken to the local hospital, SLED says.

The shootings are not believed to be connected at this time, according to SLED.

The investigation remains ongoing.

South Carolina State issued a lockdown on campus after reports of a shooting on Saturday night.

The university issued an alert after reports of shots at Hugine Suites.

According to that alert, campus police are investigating the incident.
