Amid speculation that Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender was planning to resign, the Congress legislator on Sunday dismissed the reports as baseless and urged his followers not to believe them.
The rumours surfaced after Speaker G Prasad Kumar concluded the cross-examination of a few BRS turncoat MLAs in the disqualification case. Speculations were rife that Nagender, one of the 10 MLAs who defected from BRS, might quit.
Of the 10 defected MLAs, eight have already submitted affidavits affirming their continued loyalty to the BRS. However, Nagender and Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari had sought additional time to submit
theirs.
