OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Mayor John Ewing Jr. and Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer are having a news conference at noon Friday to give an update on Bud Crawford’s traffic stop last weekend.

The chief said Crawford, a record-setting boxing champion whom the city had publicly celebrated earlier that day , wasn’t targeted or treated poorly, and that the officers involved in the traffic stop followed OPD policy; but he acknowledged that there are some accountability issues to address.

Just before the news conference, OPD shared a timeline of the stop, which has been included at the bottom of this article.
