The media plays a vital role in wildlife conservation, the Corbett Tiger Reserve director Saket Badola said. He was addressing a media workshop organised by WWF on the occasion of Wildlife Week.

He emphasised that in today’s digital age, news spreads across the country and even internationally within minutes. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the media to ensure that only verified and accurate information is published. He added that close coordination and communication between the Forest Department and media professionals is essential for effective conservation awareness.
