KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — A man is expected to survive after being shot in the neck in Richland Township on Sunday morning, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office (KCSO).

Around 11:20 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 10000 block of East D Avenue for a shooting.

When they arrived, deputies found a 65-year-old man who had been shot in the neck. The man was initially treated at the scene by rescue personnel and was then taken to a local hospital.

Deputies said the man is believed to have non-life-threatening injuries.

Through the investigation at the scene, deputies identified the suspect and recovered the weapon used in the incident.

According to KCSO, the incident is still under investigation. Once completed, the case will be forwarded to the Kalamazoo County Prosecuto
