Jackson, also known as Jax, is an 8-year-old German shepherd-Husky mix looking for a loving home in New Hampshire.

Jax embodies the best qualities of both breeds. He's intelligent, eager to learn and has become a staff favorite at the shelter.

Whether he's playing fetch or curling up beside his people after a fun day, Jax is equally content. He may start out a bit reserved, but his sweet, loyal nature shines once he knows you're a friend.

One of his favorite ways to bond is through a relaxed game of fetch. He never turns down the chance to chase his favorite toys.

With previous off-leash training, he'd likely pick things up quickly with a little refresher.
