EUREKA — A Six Flags St. Louis employee was injured Saturday in a “non-ride related incident,” the theme park owner said.

A company spokeswoman said the park safety team responded to the injured worker immediately after the incident.

“ We are working closely with authorities and have no further information to share at this time,” spokeswoman Rachel Kendziora said in an email.

The Eureka Fire Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Tim Agne, of Phoenix, said he was on the River King Mine Train ride around 6:20 p.m. Saturday when his train pulled into the station behind another train. He said he saw emergency crews arrive and tend to a person who was on the ground. He said some Six Flags employees seemed flustered and upset.
