SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — The Pigeon Forge Police Department released new information on the recently cancelled Slammedenuff car show, calling it "a serious threat to public safety."
The car show was scheduled to take place over the weekend at the Sevierville Convention Center. However, after "numerous disturbances" and "reckless behavior," Saturday night, the city announced Sunday morning that the rest of the event was cancelled. It asked eventgoers to leave the area in a safe and orderly manner.
On Sunday afternoon, the PFPD released more information addressing rumors about the event, saying that it fired no shots and deployed no chemical agents.
