Showers and thunderstorms tonight into tomorrow as cooler temperatures settle in

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - A cold front continues to slowly move through the area and will produce more showers and storms later this evening. Storms are expected to develop across southeastern Nebraska around 7 to 8 pm tonight. Some could become strong to severe as the Storm Prediction Center has a marginal risk in place. Flash flooding could also become a concern as these will be slow moving storms producing a lot of rainfall. More showers and storms are expected to develop behind the cold front later tonight with scattered showers continuing across much of southern Nebraska into tomorrow. Temperatures behind the front stayed cool in the 60’s to the west, mid to upper 70’s in central Nebraska, then warmer in the low 80’s ahead of the front.
