CLIFTON, N.J. (PIX11) — Police are investigating a hit-and-run that killed a woman in New Jersey Saturday morning, according to officials.

Clifton Police responded to the side of Rt. 21 North near the Exit 9 ramp onto Rt. 3 West for a report of an unresponsive woman at around 8:12 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.

Officials said there were broken pieces of a vehicle scattered near where the woman, 20-year-old Kamaya Young, was found. Young, of Paterson, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests were made, and the investigation is ongoing.
