Rachel Homan searched hard through her memory banks when asked if she knew the last time she’d lost to a Canadian rink on the pebbled ice.

“I don’t know much about our games — I’m not a memory person,” said Homan, with a grin. “Maybe one of the slams … like (Kerri) Einarson? The Einarson final? Is that it? Ah … yes? I knew it.

“Pretty good memory.”
