ADAMS COUNTY, N.D. (KMOT/KFYR) – North Dakota agriculture officials say palmer amaranth has been confirmed in Adams County.
They say a producer noticed the weed while mowing the edge of their field, and reported it.
Palmer amaranth is considered a noxious weed that can spread easily by people, animals, and machinery, as well as waste products.
It can impact producers’ yields if not contained.
More information on noxious weeds can be found on the North Dakota Department of Agriculture website .
