It’s Skubal day.

The Detroit Tigers hold a 1-0 lead in the ALDS against the Seattle Mariners and they now send out ace lefty Tarik Skubal to try and lead the way to a 2-0 advantage in Seattle tonight.

It took extra innings and most of their bullpen on Saturday for the Tigers to pull off a Game 1 victory against the Mariners. But the chance to secure a massive 2-0 advantage goes into the elite hands of Skubal.

The reigning AL Cy Young Award winner, Skubal (13-6, 2.21 ERA) was incredible in his first start of the postseason, going 7 2/3 innings with 14 strikeouts in a victory.
